Felipe Lopez
Legal Advisor
Lawyer, University of Chile. Diploma in Natural Resources and Energy Law, with a specialisation in mining, from the Catholic University of Chile. Master’s candidate in Law at the University of Chile, with a specialisation in Economic Law.
He served as in-house counsel at Melón Companies, where he worked on matters related to natural resources, sustainability, and corporate affairs, holding the position of Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Manager.
Felipe has also been a teaching assistant in the Mining Law course at the University of Chile.
His practice focuses on Mining Law, Permitting and Mine Closure Planning, Environmental Law, and community and institutional engagement.

Abel Piñones

He has worked as a lawyer at Romero Izquierdo, a consultant at the United Nations (PNUD), and as a lawyer at the Graduate School of the University of Chile.
He is a professor of Mining Law at the University of Santiago de Chile and at the Department of Economic Law at the University of Chile’s School of Law. Additionally, he serves as the coordinator of diploma programs and extension and research activities in the field of natural resources.
His practice focuses on Mining Law, Indigenous Law, and community engagement.
